Scholarships

The Boosters scholarship is awarded to six senior athletes that will be attending an accredited college or university. Three male and three female recipients will receive a scholarship in the amount of $500, $750, or $1,000. Students whose parents are current Booster members will be given first priority.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Participation and receipt of at least TWO varsity letters in any sport at LHS.
An overall GPA of 3.0 or above
Completion of the Scholarship submission form
Completion of a 500 word essay (within the form) that includes the following information:
1. Explain how sports have positively impacted your high school experience
2. Which, if any, coach(es) have positively influenced you and why
3. What you plan to do after graduation
4. Why you feel you deserve to receive a Booster Scholarship. Please be sure to explain any special circumstances that may be impacting your financial need for college.

All seniors that meet the above criteria are eligible, but Booster members do get priority in the selection process.

Scholarship winners will be announced during the Senior Awards Ceremony in May.

Winners must submit confirmation of their college class registration to the Athletic Boosters in order to receive their scholarship award money. Students need to provide their school Name, school ID#, address and contact information on where to send the scholarship funds.
